Outcome
Objective(s)
Assessment
Students will understand the processes involved in photosynthesis, mitosis, meiosis, and cell division.
At least 80% of the participating students will improve their pre assessment grades by at least 20% based on their post assessment score on the topics of photosynthesis, mitosis, and meiosis.

- At least 80% of the participating students will increase their weekly quiz grades by at least 20% from prior to implement of tech-based solution.

-Instructors will be able to identify whether or not students are acquiring at least 80% of content knowledge before, during, and after lecture presentations by using the SMART response clickers
Pre and post assessment questions that are composed of topics that will be on final exam.
Students will enjoy using “clickers” in the classroom.
-At least 90% of students will be satisfied with implementation of the SMART response system into classroom lessons.
5 question survey given to students regarding experience with clickers.

Objectives
- At least 80% of the participating students will improve their pre assessment grades by at least 20% based on their post assessment score on the topics of photosynthesis, mitosis, and meiosis (assessment # 1)

- At least 80% of the participating students will increase their weekly quiz grades by at least 20% from prior to implement of tech-based solution (assessment # 1)

-Instructors will be able to identify whether or not students are acquiring at least 80% of content knowledge before, during, and after lecture presentations by using the SMART response clickers (assessment # 1).

-At least 90% of students will be satisfied with implementation of the SMART response system into classroom lessons. (assessment # 2)

The following information will be given as a pre assessment and post assessment in the Biology course. The unit that is going to be taught is on photosynthesis, mitosis, cell division, and meiosis. Each question will be worth 1 point for a total of 10 points possible. Also throughout the unit the professor is going to insert 2-3 questions related to content that needs to be learned in her lecture slides, and use SMART response during classes to assess student performance and understand.

Data reports from SMART response will also be used to determine where students
have learned required content. Students will also be given the following survey
to evaluate their overall experience. This survey will be given via the web using Goggle Docs click here to go to survey.
